The NT$610 million Nanzihkeng facility is the flagship project for North Kaohsiung. Located near the Nanzih Interchange, the 8,932-square-meter building is positioned to support the influx of workers from the TSMC Kaohsiung Plant and the surrounding semiconductor S-corridor.
Tsai Chi-chang, CPBL Commissioner, “It gets so hot in Kaohsiung. Baseball fans in the south all want an indoor ballpark. Perhaps it doesn’t have to be as big as the Taipei Dome. But there should be a medium-sized dome in Southern Taiwan, an indoor space for games. I think that would make for a better experience for everyone.”
Taiwan’s Ministry of Sports is taking online registrations from Jan. 26 to Feb. 8, 2026 for a limited batch of 600,000 digital “Sports Coin” credits worth NT$500 each. The credits can cover sports participation and event tickets in full, plus up to NT$200 for sports gear purchases.
